Ness always wanted a shih tzu since she was a child. One of her fantasies was having a shih tzu for a pet. In 2004, her fantasy became a reality when she got her first shih tzu, Rainbow of Larkskin, as a gift from her beloved. At first, she had no intention of putting up a kennel. Things started to change when Rainbow gave birth to two lovely puppies, Yhuki and Yhuri. Thus, Superness Kennel was born. She decided to keep both puppies for herself.
It was also during that time when she thought of putting up a good foundation for her new kennel. She talked to Gerard Catedrilla of Rainwater Kennel. She asked some advice on how to properly take care of shih tzu especially their coat. She also sought the help of Lucianne "Penny" Cham of Achilles Kennel and gave her Optimum Mr. Spinx (also known as Yhomi), her first show dog. Ate Neng, groomer of Achilles, started teaching her how to prepare the dog for shows like making a show topknot. They became her mentors in the dog show world. They provided her some books, video tapes and other learning materials about shih tzu. She hired Jun Rivera as well to be her dogs' trainer and handler.
She started joining dog shows in 2006. There and then she realized that dog show is a tough game. But that doesn't stop her in showing her dogs.
And that's where it all started.....
